A Simple Gift for Your Shelter Friends

Do you have a momma who is hopeless at sewing.  Like sewing to her is hem-tape and fixing a missing button? Or maybe you have a mom who can't cook very good so baking Christmas Cookies for your friends is just not gonna happen. Perhaps your momma wants to make crafts for others but you have discouraged her from doing so because everything she makes looks like it came directly from a kindergarten classroom. Maybe you are lucky like me and you hit the trifecta and have a mom who can't sew, bake, or craft!

If that is you...take heart..for I bring you good tidings of great joy!  You can still give a shelter pet a great gift this year!

Today I typed up a list of items that the local animal shelter needs.  I found the list on their website...so I just copied and pasted it.  (Pretty easy...even for my paws.)

Then I asked mom if when we went for our walkie if we could just ask people in our neighborhood if they had any of the items on the list that they would donate.

Mom brought our red wagon on the walk and before we were even half-way home the wagon was filled up!!!

Now I am going to ride with my mom to the shelter and donate all of the stuff we got to the doggies and kitties.  We took a Christmas Card along with us for our neighbors to sign....so we have that to give them too.

It was easy, free, and fun. Best of all my momma didn't have to "make" anything...which is good because that would have just been embarrassing.

Merry Christmas!

Karli
