I Need a Home for Christmas

Short bloggy today.  I have lots to do to get ready for my 1st Christmas with my new family.  This is such an exciting time for me.  I love the pretty twinkling lights that mom put everywhere and the smell of pine in the air.

Unfortunately, for many of my friends, this is another sad year.  Many are abused, cold, hungry and lonely.  They are strays or in shelters waiting for someone to love them.

Some people say that getting a dog for Christmas is not a good idea because pets are not gifts they are commitments.

I say we are both.  We will give you our love, our loyalty, our kisses, and our devotion.  We commit to you for as long as we live.

Do you have to give up somethings for your pet?  Yep! Your loneliness, sadness, money for food and vet care, heart and usually a part of your bed.

Are we worth it?

Absolutely!

The dogs in this video only want one thing for Christmas; a home.  There are thousands more of them in animal shelters and rescue groups.

Please consider adopting a pet for Christmas.

  1. We are worth it. I'm lucky enough never to have known suffering, pain, loneliness or abuse.

  2. Muffin and I are very blessed as well. We have hoomans that love us no matter what. Sometimes I feel we give them so little in return. But Mommy said that is not true. She says Muffin and I are the loves of her life! (Sorry Daddy).

For all those little doggie's out there, we pray for good things to come to you soon.

What a beautiful post today Karli!

  3. That was a wonderful blog entry. It made me cry for all the doggies and kitties who don't have homes. I know everyone is trying, so maybe some will have a home already, like Wyatt! :) Thanks sooo much for all you do, Karli and Kelly!!

Merry Christmas, Love Maddie and Angela

  4. This was a beautiful video! I cried the whole way through. I wish I had a great big house and lots of money. I would take every single Doxie and Newfoundland that needed a home and just love them.
