My Funny Shakes

About one week after I moved in with my new family I had weird feeling, I scooted around oddly on the floor and then I had a seizure.  My mom was soooo worried about me.  To be honest, I don't really remember much about my canine seizure but it has happened about eight times.  My mom took me to the vet and they said it could be because I was nervous and just getting used to my surroundings.  That sounded like a bunch of weinershnitchel to me because my new house was way better than being cold, sick and lonely in that awful shelter.  Mom read me a bunch of information about canine seizures that she learned on The Epi Guardian Angels website. http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/default.htm

After a few days I had more seizures so we went to a different doctor and he said I could start medicine that would help but with medicines there are risks.  He was really nice.  His name is Dr. Banta DVM and he is always very gentle with me. www.mtpleasantvet.com Before we started medicine he thought maybe a change in my diet would help.  Some of us doggies are very sensitive to our food.  My mom and dad bought me Blue Buffalo Grain Free kibbles and I LOVE it!  http://www.bluebuffalo.com  My honey, Austin doesn't like it that much, but he is a very picky eater.

I have been on my new diet for a month I have not had any more of my "funny shakes".  My mom says if I keep doing this good I may never need medication, although many doggies take medicine for epilepsy and they do well.  I am so happy I am feeling better now and very glad my doctor told us to try this yummy food.

    Girl,

Hang in there, you are the bomb. We are having fun with your new blog. Also, we really miss our foster sister. Life is just not the same around here without you flirting with foster bothers Retten, Harley and Quincy. The boys are going gaga over your photos. Ooh la la, who is that chick in the bikini", say the boys. Sorry we missed you at the Meet-Up, but Cricket just had to go to the North Carolina Wiener Roast and show off like always and take First Place in the "Kissing Contest". Looking forward to getting together again girl.

    Luv ya,
    Foster Sisters,
    Skipper, Cricket, Pretzel and Mandy
