I was doggy surfing the internet this morning after breakfast and I went to the D.R.N.A. website. (Dachshund Rescue of North America) That is the organization that helped me find my nice home. I was perusing the pictures of fellow weenies that need a home and noticed that 13 of the 53 senior dogs who need homes have either been adopted or are in process of being adopted. This is such great news! WOOF! For the month of June DRNA is offering the seniors with no application fee, so it is a great time to adopt a seasoned gem of a dachshund. My honey, Austin is a senior and so is my new brother Spike. They were a great choice for my mom and dad because they were already potty trained. (Many seniors are.) They are also mellow and kind. They both just needed a loving home. Austin and Spike both have spunk and give as much love as a puppy, just without all the chewing and doing potty in the house. Senior wieners make great companions. If you are looking for a doggy, check out www.drna.org because there are some beauties there. Please spread the word that June is senior month!
